London life

I love London.

Why? Because I can’t say how many festivals I went (from India to Science), I tanned during one-hour meditation in Trafalgar Square, because I have a reader card for the British Library (and than I have the power).

It’s like living in a small world, in a huge city.

Berry Brains mission and scholarship to Marie Forleo’s B-School #winBSCHOOL

Hello there,

Today I will share a video that explain a little bit more about Berry Brains mission, this video is been recorded in order to win¬†Marie Forleo’s B-School¬†scholarship.

Leave a comment on YouTube sharing your opinion or supporting me ūüôā

I’ve already written about Marie Forleo before, now is time to take action and bring Barry Brains to the next step and B-School would definitely help a lot.

Here’s a little review.

Who I am

I am Stefania Delprete, I am currently a part-time unconventional science tutor in the sunny London (today is really sunny!), and in five days I will be teaching¬†eyesight improvement techniques in Italy. And that’s just the beginning.

What my business is (or what I want it to be)
My business is about offering great content about science, physics, and well-being, in order to create a bridge between these two worlds. There are actually two website¬†berrybrains.com¬†and¬†eyesresort.com¬†The contents it will be online and I’d like to provided live experiences as well.
The bigger societal need you’re tackling.

I’ve always been between science, well-being and self-improvement. I saw science people struggle with health and do not see the need of meditation, and very healthy people think that quantum physics is a sort new age conspiracy or something like that.

How is your business going to make an impact?
My business is going to make an impact creating a bridge and increasing the amount of people that is getting healthier and smarter. I saw exceptions, I want these exceptions will become the normality.
I am talking about radiant health, knowledge and awareness of yourself and the world around you, problem solving skills and social skills. And make it easy.

This is me and what I am going to do. B-School is a great opportunity to learn how to spread better, much better, my message worldwide and how to create and package great content online and how to reach more people for the live experiences I will provide. As a member of a community of action people, action women, it will be a pleasure to  collaborate and celebrate each other success.

The Silva Method “Could this be the next step in your evolution?”

Hello everyone!

Do you know what is Silva Method and who is José Silva?

The first time I came across Silva Method was around ten years ago. It is a powerful technique you can use for a lot of things: being more productive, relaxed, healing, manifesting what you have in mind and much more.

It based on the principle that you can achieve more and more in a deeper relaxation state, when you are in you Alpha level, a special brain frequency.

I am very aligned with José Silva, when I was studying Physics I came across similar questions, actually more concerning the electromagnetic field of the human body, but I when I went to the university library and checked a huge book about Neuroscience, I saw less than half of a page where it related brain activity with concepts in Physics.

Fay Dowker – “Why black holes are hot”

Happy new year! Have you written your commitment for this year? If not a great place to start is My Life Book test.

By the way, today I want to share an amazing lecture about black holes and beyond.

Fay Dowker is a British Theoretical Physicist at Imperial College London. As a student, she was interested in wormholes (nice one, I asked Jocelyn Bell about wormholes last month) to and quantum cosmology. Having studied at the University of Cambridge, Dowker was awarded the Tyson Medal in 1987 and completed her Doctor of Philosophyunder the supervision of Stephen Hawking (yes, him!) in 1990. She was later a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, at the University of California at Santa Barbara and also the California Institute of Technology.

Skateistan – “Afghanistan’s Girl Skaters”

I really love Skateistan.

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93eSM9mWkkk&w=380&h=214]

When I was a teen-ager, and actually also now, I used to hang out with skaters and that culture remained in my blood in a sort of way. And I really care about children and the fact that all around the world children deserve to play and have fun together.

Skateistan brings joy, education and fun to children. It began as a Kabul-based Afghan NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) and is now an International non-profit charity providing skateboarding and educational programming in Afghanistan, Cambodia and Pakistan. Skateistan is non-political, independent, and inclusive of all ethnicities, religions and social backgrounds. You can find how to get involved here.

8th Appleton Space Conference and Jocelyn Bell

Image

This week I’ve been at 8th Appleton Space Conference¬†and I had the great honor to meet and talk with Jocelyn Bell,¬†she discovered the pulsar and made the crucial mistake to say that to her advisor who took the Nobel Prize instead of her. Michio Kaku makes joke about that at the end of this video.

I really enjoyed the entire day. I learnt more about LOFAR telescope in UK and around the world, then space satellites, an interesting talk about how engaging general public into science, space and defence, the robotic exploration of our solar system and much more.

I will leave you with an introduction of pulsar by Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell:
