8th Appleton Space Conference and Jocelyn Bell

Image

This week I’ve been at 8th Appleton Space Conference and I had the great honor to meet and talk with Jocelyn Bell, she discovered the pulsar and made the crucial mistake to say that to her advisor who took the Nobel Prize instead of her. Michio Kaku makes joke about that at the end of this video.

I really enjoyed the entire day. I learnt more about LOFAR telescope in UK and around the world, then space satellites, an interesting talk about how engaging general public into science, space and defence, the robotic exploration of our solar system and much more.

I will leave you with an introduction of pulsar by Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell:

Enjoy and stay curious. Did you know about Jocelyn? Let me know by leaving a comment below. Let’s start a good discussion together!
